Welcome to our new website

We are proud to announce the launch of our new website. 

We have lift off!

Since being Director of People First we have refreshed and updated our website a couple of times. However, we realised it was time for a complete redesign. 

In 2021, People First secured a 2-year National Lottery Community Fund grant from the Leaders with Lived Experience programme. Some of this fund was to develop our digital systems and develop a new website. 

We also received additional funds for our digital development from Esmée Fairbairn's Funding Plus programme.

It was really important for us to understand and be involved in the process. In addition to the technical expertise we were able to get, we also employed a consultant with excellent project management skills, digital expertise and experience in working with people with learning difficulties.

Our team were involved in the development of the website every step of the way.

We still have things to add and expand such as more videos and resources and we will be updating the site on a regular basis.

It's really easy for us to to keep it up to date. We hope it's as accessible for you to use too.

The Our History page is going to be a live project that we'll be continually updating. We want our members to add to it. If we've missed anything please let us know. 

It's so important that we document our own history.
